Hello! I finished my Bachelor of Science in Computational Physics at The University of Texas in Austin in 2017. I also received additional certification in areas of programming that weren't routinely included in a science-oriented program - website programming and design, data storage and analysis, security and object-oriented programming.
I currently tutor all math and sciences for high school and undergrad students, as well as teach test prep for the SAT and ACT, and a summer program that I have developed for younger children. I freelance program whenever possible, and also tutor students in Python, web programming and computing software. I also have over 10 years experience in the medical field: in management and administration, data analysis, retail sales, patient diagnosis and treatment, and insurance billing and coding.
I am very hard-working, passionate and I enjoy constantly challenging myself. I am always trying to grow my skills in everything I do. I plan to return to school to pursue a graduate program in the near future.
Computational Physics is the study of physics implementing numerical analysis through algorithms. I chose this subdiscipline of physics because it is the most modern branch, redefining formulas in an algorithmic way so that computers can be used to numerically solve problems in a faster and reproducible manner. Some of the tools used include C++ and computational software such as Fortran, Matlab and Mathematica.
This is a certification available at the University of Texas where you can choose from a large assortment of different programming courses. Some of the courses I chose were on software development, web development, data analysis, data visualization and cryptography and security.
I have worked at Woodlands Eye on and off for over a decade, and I have done every job imaginable there. I currently work beneath the Clinic Director, doing data analysis, finances and insurance compliance. I have also worked to continually streamline our business by building programs to analyze the finances and trends of our business and reduce time required for electronic compliance. I have a thorough understanding of all aspects of the medical field through all of my years of experience there.
I tutor both through a company and independently. It is both extremely fulfilling and challenging to try to get a child with many learning difficulties to suceed. It is also challenging to make a client like you and continue your service, while also pushing them or their child in the right direction when they are resistent. I love that this is an opportunity for me to revisit subjects I haven't studied in years and push me to quickly relearn them.
